Frequently asked
Do I have to change how or what I teach?
No. Your academy continues training in its own style, at its own premises, with its own faculty. ABSKM provides the syllabus framework and the examination standard — the teaching remains entirely yours.
Where are the examinations held?
At your academy. Examinations are conducted on your premises as per ABSKM guidelines, so students never have to travel to an external centre.
How often are examinations conducted?
Twice every year. Each student appears once per examination cycle, and the schedule is announced in advance.
Who assesses Levels 1 to 3?
Levels 1–3 are assessed internally by the affiliated academy. From Level 4 onwards, assessment is conducted through formal ABSKM examinations.
What does affiliation cost?
Affiliation and examination fees vary by discipline, student strength and centre category. The franchise team shares the current fee structure once your application is reviewed.
How long does approval take?
The franchise team responds within 3–5 working days of receiving your application. Once documents are complete, centre authorisation is typically issued within two to three weeks.
Can an individual teacher apply, or only registered institutions?
Both. Individual gurus running organised batches are welcome to apply, as are registered academies, schools, trusts and cultural societies.
